Paula Bennett

Deputy Leader of the Opposition, Spokesperson for Social Investment & Social Services, Drug Reform, & Women.

Paula entered parliament in 2005 as a list MP. Her maiden speech outlined many of the values she continues to fight for today, in particular, seeing New Zealanders succeed & thrive.

Outside of Parliament, Paula lives in West Auckland with her husband, cat and various children and grandchildren all of which seem to come and go as they please. Outside of parliament she loves fishing, cooking, music, and a cold chardonnay.


Rita Nabney

Rita is a Barrister specialising in Criminal and Employment Law and with husband Bill and son David they have Tauranga Chambers.  Rita is Chair of Bay Trust and originally trained as a Psychiatric Nurse specialising in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry opening the first Child and Adolescent clinic in New Zealand with Professor Weary.

Arriving in Tauranga Rita continued work as a Psychiatric Nurse on the Crisis team, then managed Community Mental Health. Prior to becoming a barrister in 2011, she spent 10 years working as a
HR manager for companies Fonterra and Carter Holt. Rita has three children, two step children and loves spending time with her grandchildren.
